Day 14 – Sunday
Today was the last day with my friend from Paris here. My colleague said she doesn’t want to go out with us anymore today because she wants to do her homework. I already finished my homework last night so I might as well just spend the whole day out today… but it’s a little bit cold so I don’t think I’m going to do that.
My friend wanted to visit the historical Christmas Market in Warschauerstraße… I couldn’t understand why he would wanna go back there, but he’s my guest so I have to do it. I hate this part of Berlin, but I think one must try it all… Well not everything one can find here :))).. We only spent like 10 minutes there… too much smoke… It was absolutely filthy… The people were really strange… So not the best place to be, I would say. No. My friend wanted to try curry wurst before leaving for Paris so we went to the Berliner Zoo Christmas Market. I already knew they had it all there because I went there before with my colleague so I was sure we were going to find his curry wurst. We ended up trying everything out, including what I had already eaten with my colleague: curry wurst, kartoffelpuffer, fried cauliflower with garlic sauce (this one you must try!!!!), candied grapes, candied walnuts, chocolate strawberries, chocolate grapes, cotton candy and some water to wash everything down.
Then we went to Spooning Cookie Dough. It’s not really easy to get there, but my friend knows Berlin better than me, apparently. I had already heard about it a couple of years ago, but I had never had the chance to try it before. Of course you could prepare it yourself, but I think it would be best if you didn’t :))) The eggs, flour and all the other ingredients in cookie dough are pasteurised. But… I was disappointed in it. And I had actually already spoken to Mrs Scheuch about it… ugh… I bought some for them too. Mr Scheuch said: “Well it is something different”. And Mrs Scheuch asked if she could actually bake it. =))) So I guess no one really liked it.
After trying Cookie Dough we went on a stroll through AlexanderPlatz and then… that was it. I went home and he went back to Paris.
