Stolberg Day 6
Today was cool. We had a Romanian Patient and then another one, and neither of them could speak any German, so I had to translate. That was nice. LittleDoc was useful. Yaaaaay.
Then lunch with my colleagues, chat and then home. Training with Dr H, then study. I was actually a bit tired and couldn’t study for so long today. Perhaps tomorrow.
Each time I take part in a fetal morphology scan I remember about House MD. There was this episode…
„Dr. Gregory House: Lift up your arms. You have a parasite.
Patient: Like a tapeworm or something?
Dr. Gregory House: Lie back and lift up your sweater. You can put your arms down.
Patient: Can you do anything about it?
Dr. Gregory House: Only for about a month or so. After that, it becomes illegal to remove, except in a couple of states.
Patient: Illegal?
Dr. Gregory House: Don’t worry. Many women learn to embrace this parasite. They name it, dress it up in tiny clothes, arrange playdates with other parasites.
Patient: Playdates?
Dr. Gregory House: [shows her the ultrasound] It has your eyes.“
Well. It’s already general knowledge that I prefer Gyn to Ob. But I guess Ob is part of the deal. Nevertheless, if I ever were to choose, I’d always go for gyn.. 🙂
