Vacation in Hamburg Day 16
It rained the whole day today. But I still went for a walk. I wanted to see the harbour one more time. As I got there, someone started playing „Nearer My God to Thee“ on the saxophone. I found it quite appropriate, since I was there to say goodbye to the Elbphilharmonie and to the harbour. Funny how these things happen…
And then I got back to the hotel where I had to pack my things once more. I didn’t want to. Just…no. I couldn’t do it all over again. I sat on the bed and looked at the door, as if I had been waiting for someone to come in and help me. But nobody came. Of course nobody came, you foolish child. You’re a grown-up, whether you like it or not. Now get you s**t together and start packing.
I’ve gathered some treasures ever since I got here… I will place them somewhere nice in my future home, so that I can see them all the time. The pink post-it from my angels is particularly special to me. They wrote there “press the red button” – in the bus, whenever I would get to where I needed. But that was in Wismar…
Nearer to Thee 🙂
